A great set of two books that everyone (and not just children) will want to read. The two books are meaningfully connected: they tell the story of a teenage girl, Kira, her pet Labrador Mani, who was able to talk and tell his mistress about the peculiarities of handling money, as well as about Kira’s parents, relatives, acquaintances and neighbors. The first book is more about money, the peculiarities of earning and saving money, investing and multiplying financial capital (this is elementary financial knowledge for children). The second book is more about ethics of human relations, morality and the morals that must underlie a person’s behavior if he wants to succeed in life. And all the information is presented in an exciting plot, where there are kidnappings, magic, and the search for a criminal. And although the plot seems a bit naive in places, the interweaving of financial and ethical ideas looks good. Of course, not all of the ideas suggested by the author are easy to implement in the financial sphere of Ukraine, but there are many really important and useful thoughts.

These are great books about business and life for our young readers who are just starting out in life. The books are very easy to read. A good translation and a good story make these books understandable and interesting for every child.

This story is about a girl named Kira from an ordinary family, but who had an unusual dog. They found him injured, took him in and healed him. And while his owner was being found, they decided that the dog would live with them. And for the time being, the family named him Mani. Or rather, the dog responded to this name. Imagine Kira’s surprise when the Labrador spoke to her.

Mani taught Kira everything he knew about money: how to earn it, how to spend it, how to save it. Kira got her first job, where she earned her pocket money and saved for her dream of traveling to America.

Actually, the second book is about this trip. It tells more about the other side of life – relationships and emotions. After all, “while learning to deal with the outside world, we must at the same time form our own character.”

These are great books for the younger generation. Even for adults, they will provide valuable information about money and life.

The set includes two books:

1) A Dog Called Mani, or the ABCs of Money, written by Bodo Schaefer specifically for teenage children, about basic financial concepts.

In this book, together with a twelve-year-old girl Kira, children:

-understand what money is and learn the history of money

-write and draw a wish book to help them feel the need for money

-Will be able to find their first part-time job doing what they love, having studied people’s needs;

Will be constantly looking for a new part-time job;

-Can constantly save money in a piggy bank in order to spend money on a dream from the dream album.

2) The book “Kira and the Secret of the Bagel” is a book written by Bodo Schaefer specifically for teenage children, a continuation of the story called “A Dog Named Mani”.

In the book, Kira moves to America and goes to an American school.

One day, the teacher tells the students about the seven steps. Each step is written on a separate card. The cards contain the principles for the current day. One card is for one day. Each rule is deciphered.

The seven steps described by the teacher helped Kira overcome obstacles, cope with difficulties, and experience adventures.

The two books are illustrated with black and white drawings.

Both books can be read in one sitting.

These books make you want to learn and learn all the time.

I liked the set of books about business. I recommend it to teenage children and their parents.

This set of books has become one of my children’s favorite and most useful. The author’s idea is perfect for keeping a child interested. I loved that despite the useful stuff, the book has room for adventure and talking animals, which is sure to appeal to every child. The book itself is very beautifully decorated, the book has black and white illustrations, as well as a fairly large print, for a child is very easy to read. We read both parts, the first one seemed to me more informative and interesting, which really explains the important rules and words from the world of finance. Very many useful ideas, especially from the wish diary entries. This book is perfect for a high school student who should learn how to handle finances properly. The second part of the book is still more focused on human relationships and the role of finance is no longer as great. But to create a complete picture, it is still worth reading both parts. Using a talking dog as a teacher is perfect. It is because of this trump card that my kids decided to read this series of books.
