This is a collection of funny children’s rhymes where one of the characters is a dad. We are so used to the fact that mothers read bedtime stories to their children more often, and they also spend more time with their children. This book is designed to dispel this idea. Even on the wrapper and first pages of the book there is a picture of a father reading or playing with his child.
The poems are kind and very funny: about a mole who cooked borscht in a cup; about a dandelion that decided to celebrate its birthday but scattered at the most important moment; about the fashionable clothes the animals found in the autumn forest; about a mole’s housewarming party, to which an ostrich was invited, but it could not get into the hole; about a snail that took too long to get to school, and many other poems.
I would also like to note the very good illustrations: they are bright, large and also very funny (a fox on an old bicycle, a colorful elephant, an ostrich wearing a pince-nez, forest animals in fashionable clothes, a cat looking sadly at painted sausages and so on).
A good book for reading together with your child – there is something to discuss and something to laugh at!
