A very interesting adventure novel that gives you the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of that time and once again hate everything Soviet and Russian.

In most cases, I read foreign literature. But, while preparing for the External Independent Evaluation, I was struck by Ivan Bahrianyi’s book Tigrolovy. It was love at first sight. “It is better to die running than to live rotting” – this phrase perfectly characterizes the novel. It is rich, optimistic, colorful, adventurous, fantastic, lively and dynamic, and the characters are quite lively and vivid. It is right that this book is in the school curriculum, although if it were not, I would still advise everyone to read it.
The author himself writes quite easily and interestingly. I was so engrossed in reading that I couldn’t put it down. The book has a very tasty filling.
It tells the story of Grigory the Many-Sinned, a man with incredible willpower, endurance, and a thirst for life. His adventures are fascinating, and you feel as if you are somewhere near the characters and experiencing the same emotions. Another plus is their humor. While in ordinary books I just smile, here I laughed out loud. Surely everyone will notice something important to them personally in this book. I can say without hesitation that this book should be in everyone’s home library!
