However, where can he find her if the Gull Tower is destroyed to the ground and the witch’s dreams about his adopted daughter are not what they say they are? Traveling in the company of the poet Lyubystok, the half-driad Milva, the Nilfgardian Kagir, and the five-hundred-year-old vampire Regis, Geralt realizes that he can no longer tolerate the rivers of blood that are spilling around him. In this book, Geralt repairs the broken bones in the dryads.

From the Dryads he goes out in search of Ciri, but not alone, but with a company of new friends: Milva/the archer (she also hangs on to Geralt throughout the book), Buttercup/as usual, the young Nilfgard Count Kagyr and the adorable/high vampire Emil.

Throughout the book, the newfound comrades go Lord of the Rings-style from trouble to trouble)

I love this kind of RPG romp against a backdrop of magic and sprawling wars, so I enjoyed reading the book, but I’m slowly starting to get tired of the story.

⠀ In the first place, because in a volley.

I don’t know why, but I’ve seen it in a while, and I’ve been told that I’m not going to answer any questions about her. I will see in the next books)).

And yes! I really hope Yenifer gets out of her periphery and starts playing her assigned role normally. Stop falling asleep. This is my favorite character in the cycle)

And by the way, interesting fact for fans:

All of the Witcher’s horses are named Plotva? And it’s not just one horse. Throughout the narrative, he changed them several times, and this book mentions that even in the past there wasn’t a single horse that was called by any other name))))

    Why isn’t it explained…

I think this part is the best. So far. A very strange but interesting company has gathered: the bard Lyubystok, a man from the enemy Nilfgardian camp, colorful dwarves, the driad Milva, and a vampire of several hundred. It became more interesting to watch what was happening, in particular Geralt, who was clearly not used to being in such a large company for so long! The vampire character is quite interesting and clearly stands out among all the other similar book characters. The adventures they get into perfectly fuel the story.

    A great fantasy!

Paradoxically, there are books in the witch cycle in which the main character is not Geralt at all. This book of the cycle is almost entirely devoted to Geralt, he is the main character, and the one who is told the most. This time the witch is looking for Ciri, accompanied by his faithful friend Buttercup. In addition, the witch has picked up a rather interesting motley crew that can scare anyone.

The book’s peculiarity is the narration on behalf of different characters, which creates the effect of full presence, in the language of video games.
