Another mini encyclopedia about space from the publishing house “Ranok”. It is recommended for kids from 2 years old. In my opinion, it is suitable for kids from 4 years old, because the theme of space is still quite complicated in itself. The book briefly and essentially talks about our planet, what is the globe, the structure of the universe, the solar system, all the planets in our solar system: their order, appearance, size, composition, climate, satellites, we learn about the stars and constellations, the sun star itself, the solar eclipse, our satellite the moon, spacecraft, voyagers, planetoids, artificial satellites which help explore other planets, the impossibility of life on them in our solar system, asteroids, meteoroids and meteorites, comets, galaxies and their species, and ours – the Milky Way, telescopes and astronomers. There is basically enough information. Very many beautiful bright illustrations with rhymes and a page with thematic tasks. The pages are quite thick, the binding is soft.

The preschooler’s encyclopedia Cosmos is really worthy of attention. My children, 7.5 years old and 3.5 years old, really liked the book. It is easy to read and easy for children to understand. The second grader reads it herself, it is impossible to put it down, she is just delighted with the book. Beautiful and colorful pictures, a lot of interesting information, but the book is not overloaded with some terms and difficult concepts that are not clear to children. Each planet, their satellites, stars and constellations are described very well. The book is just a pleasure to hold in your hands and flip through the pages, they are smooth and leave a pleasant tactile sensation. We really liked it! We recommend it!)

The preschooler’s encyclopedia “Space” from the well-known Ranok publishing house definitely deserves the attention of parents whose children are beginning to get acquainted with this topic. The book is very colorful, written in an accessible and understandable language for a child. Together with your child, you can look at various illustrations, read the text, and study information about known and unknown planets, asteroids, distant galaxies and constellations. The descriptions on the pages of this book are short, concise, but very informative. Here you can find answers to such questions as “What are planets?”, “What is the closest planet to the Sun?”, “What can be seen on Venus?” and many other interesting and useful information. By comparing the sizes of the planets with the sizes of fruits and vegetables, our son began to understand the ratio of the sizes of different planets to each other. At the end of the book there is a small test to find the shadow of celestial bodies. In general, the book is very worthy, interesting even for an adult reader! I recommend starting to get interested in the topic of space with this book! It says the main things in a nutshell! Thirty-two pages of useful information for the youngest readers! The book is made of coated paper, the pages are pleasant to the touch!

When my child became interested in space, we already had a suitable book from the Encyclopedia of the Preschooler series by Ranok Publishing House. Although this series is intended for children from the age of two, we needed it only after the age of four. The book will help your child get a general idea of space, the solar system, constellations, and each planet separately.
We especially liked the spread about the solar system, which depicts all the planets and the Sun. We even drew space several times while looking at these illustrations. The spread about constellations is also very nice. My daughter was extremely happy when she could see the constellation of the Big Dipper in the night sky, exactly as she saw it in the book.
You can also read information about the Sun and solar eclipses, learn what protuberances are, why the Moon is a satellite of the Earth, how a telescope works, who an astronomer is, what a lunar sea, orbit, galaxy, asteroid, comet, and meteorite are. You can see what the planets would look like if they were the size of fruits and vegetables. Short and interesting facts about each planet are presented.
The illustrations are beautiful, the format is convenient, and the price is affordable. We recommend it!

The preschooler’s encyclopedia “Cosmos” from the Ranok publishing house is a series specially created for the youngest children. It was the book about “Cosmos” that our two-year-old boy was probably least interested in. Perhaps, after all, these are still very unfamiliar concepts in his life. But it did not pass by the older children, 5 and 7 years old. The advantage of such books for preschoolers is that there is little information that they can read on their own. It’s hard to get started with a big paragraph, but here there is a little bit of information about everything, so young readers are not afraid to read.
We also have an encyclopedia about compost from #booklover, an expensive series with windows. So if you take the information, this book is not worse, given its affordable price. That is, it can satisfy a child’s first knowledge. There is a lot of information for such a book, everything is written concisely, briefly, brightly, and complemented by wonderful illustrations.
Here the child will learn general information about the earth, and of course about the solar system and each planet separately. There is an interesting spread about the constellations, as well as the moon, the earth’s satellite. The book also contains information about aliens from outer space, galaxies, and devices that help us explore space.
What is missing here, in my opinion, is at least a little information about rockets and astronauts’ spaceships. But to introduce a child to space, this book is enough for a child to learn diverse information.
