The series of books about Robert Langdon are written in the same style. I will not say that this is a bad thing. All of them are dynamic, intricate and very easy to read, keeping you in suspense and wondering who is good and who is bad. The denouement is always on the last pages, and it’s great that it’s unpredictable.
I didn’t hesitate to buy the book or not, I bought it as soon as it appeared in translation.
In this part, Robert Langdon brings the plan of his friend Edward Kirsch to an end. It is necessary to turn on the broadcast of the video to the whole world, which tells where life came from on our planet.
As always, there are two sides to this book, the side that supports and the side that opposes. It’s a very interesting idea to write a book about something that humanity is constantly thinking about and looking for an answer to, “where did life come from?” Did God create us or did nature itself create everything we need?
Spain, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the works of Antoni Gaudi, the majestic Sagrada Familia are beautifully described. All the concepts that come up, you google everything on the Internet to find out more information. There is even a church with the most powerful computer in the world.
Everything is on top!!!

Where did we come from? Where are we going? These are the questions that are posed as the whole essence of the work. Professor Langdon and his charming companion (where else?) find themselves in a whirlwind of adventure and investigation. The death of their mutual friend has forced them to unite and complete his life’s work. Namely, to show the world the result of a study that answers the two main questions voiced above. Yes, it is indeed interesting to read, as if you are immersed in the tumultuous life of Barcelona, walking in Bilbao, getting acquainted with historical monuments and interesting facts. Every time you want to ask Google about a place, a person, etc. In terms of such a tour, the book is even useful. However, this is Dan Brown, so he doesn’t shy away from or try to avoid the cliché. And to be honest, I was looking forward to that apotheosis of an ending that makes you want to gasp, a mystery that will be revealed and will not let you think about any other book for a long time, because it will not be as exciting as this one. But I didn’t get that here. Although many people were delighted with The Source. In general, I recommend the book as an easy entertaining read, great for vacation and travel. And if it’s a trip to Spain, it’s a perfect option.

I can’t call myself a true fan who was looking forward to the release of the next book, but as soon as I saw The Source on the store shelf, I bought it without hesitation. And I “gulped” it down in 3 evenings!
Dan Brown has departed from his style a bit this time, and there are no quests, passwords, or riddles that follow one another in The Source. There is only one password – to enter the super modern computer of his friend and student Edmond Kirsch, who, in his opinion, has solved one of the greatest mysteries of mankind, but has not had time to reveal it to the general public.
The skillful interweaving of historical facts with religious concepts and state-of-the-art technology captured my attention from the first pages. The creation of the great Gaudi, whom the protagonist admires (and the author too), the brilliant mind and phenomenal memory of Professor Langdon, a quick-witted and intelligent partner (as always with Brown), as well as artificial intelligence created by the genius Kirsch, which played a huge role in the successful overcoming of obstacles on the path of the main characters.
I definitely recommend the book for reading, because in addition to new knowledge and historical details, it makes you ask yourself questions and look for answers.
In general, the book, at first glance, has a clear anti-religious position, although after reading it, you realize that the confrontation between religion and science, vividly depicted by the author, still makes everyone think and realize that not everything is so radical

Usually, I quickly “swallow” those works that I really like. In this case, I had a contradiction: should I read everything to the last page and find out the solution, or should I enjoy every word of this fascinating novel that draws me into a whirlwind of stunning events?
Like every previous work in this series, Dan Brown’s novel The Source is filled with numerous hints, symbols, and riddles that keep you up half the night puzzling over!
All the events take place against the backdrop of his “signature” descriptions of architectural monuments and artistic achievements, with which he seems to revive the latter. This creates the feeling that the storyline unfolds not only at the level of people, but also at the level of buildings, which are passive observers of the adventures of the novel’s characters. Perhaps this is why Dan Brown calls architecture “alive”.
For me, it is the author’s style that is “alive”! The master of words Dan Brown writes in such a way that the text is immediately displayed in the form of vivid pictures in my head, which causes a feeling of contemplation of all the events with my own eyes. But this is not just ordinary contemplation! With every line of his novel, Dan Brown unwittingly pushes the reader to at least minor but deep reflections on existential issues – those issues that people usually do not often think about in the routine of everyday life! It may seem trivial? Perhaps… But it is only at first glance…
So, if you are looking for something fresh and unusual, this novel is for you! If you are missing intricate stories, this novel is for you! If you want to look at life through the prism of the modern future, you know how to do it!

I got no less and no more than I expected from Dan Brown’s new book, The Source. I had already missed the adventures of the clever Professor Langdon, so I plunged into the new story with enthusiasm.
This time, a famous computer genius is murdered, who announced that he had discovered the answers to two of the main questions of humanity: Where did we come from? And where are we going? The task of Robert and his new acquaintance, the smart and spectacular museum director, and coincidentally the future Queen of Spain, Ambra Vidal, is to find a way to complete the work of their mutual friend and make the foiled presentation public. Everything happens within one day, so the plot is quite dynamic and intense.
The book invites you to travel with the characters to mysterious Spain and learn more about its history, culture, and architecture. And it’s really an incredible journey! I love Dan Brown’s novels for such excursions. And it doesn’t matter that the structure of the new book exactly resembles the previous ones and the revolutionary discoveries are not very impressive. I didn’t let go of this book for three days and will be looking forward to reading more books from the author.
