Each book by Ababagalamaga Publishing House is, first of all, an artistic masterpiece. “Shustryk” is no exception. The large format, beautiful illustrations, detailed depictions of animals, and a lot of text – this book can be a great gift. And the story itself, in my opinion, will be understandable to a child of 4 years old, although we started reading at 3.

The plot is as follows: Shystryk, a fox cub who lives with his mother, brother, and neighbors of different numbers and habits in the Deep Hole, goes hunting one night, hoping to help his mother. Despite her warnings to stay away from people, Shustryk met them anyway. What happened next – you will find out in the book) I will only say that this story is about friendship and mutual assistance.

The book is easy to read. The strange thing is that I was a little puzzled by the reflections of Cicero’s pet goose on the meaning of life. Unexpected philosophy and fatalism in a children’s book) The children listened attentively and for several weeks this book became our most popular.

For those who like good stories with a happy ending, I definitely recommend it!

“Shustryk is a cautionary tale about a restless fox cub who ignored his mother’s warning not to go out alone and got into great danger. It was not for nothing that he was called Shustryk, because this little restless fox, unlike his brother Fluffy, did not like to sit still and was always looking for adventures.

But there is not only bad in the big world. Shustryk meets Ryvk the dog and Cicero the goose, who help him get out of the trap and become his true friends.

This book is full of kindness and warmth. Reading this fairy tale with your child, you can discuss the characters, their actions, and the consequences they can have. You can also emphasize the importance of always obeying your mother and not neglecting her words.

I would also like to note the beautiful design of the book. I really liked the illustrations for the fairy tale. The pictures are very detailed, three-dimensional and atmospheric in the autumn. The characters are kind and well drawn.

I am sure that this book should be on every child’s shelf!

I can’t help but like the book “Shystrik”, which delighted me from the first glance at the cover. It’s a pleasure to see the work of talented people and to get to know new names.

Very beautifully designed book, in warm, soft colors, cute and kind animals, and especially charming main character foxy Shustrik in which you can discern an inquisitive and restless favorite child. We can say that the story is quite instructive. This book is full of kindness, sincerity, but is not devoid of educational moments. Reading the story with your baby, you can discuss for a long time the characters and their actions, as well as the situations in which they find themselves.

The book is of excellent quality, as well as all similar books from this publisher, thick pages, good print, a heartwarming story. Many beautiful illustrations. You may notice that the book is quite dark, but that doesn’t make it gloomy at all.

Perfect for both boys and girls.

I’m in love with this book, everything in it is beautiful and wonderful: the story itself, the illustrations, the design and the publishing house. I love the publishing house “A-ba-ba-ga-la-ma-ga”, they always have such beautiful, high-quality chic books, in general, no matter what book, it’s a gift edition, and if you compare with today’s prices in the children’s book market, for very little money they sell such quality and beauty. Yes, maybe for someone, especially in our difficult time, a book, price category of over a hundred hryvnias – exorbitant price. But it’s better to pick up and buy a child a great book, which will paint his childhood bright impressions, than a dozen consumer goods “pieces of paper”, from which in the eyes and head is nothing. I adhere to this principle and do not spare money on books, especially children’s books, so the price for this book “Shustrik” seemed to me even undervalued, thanks “A-ba-ba-ga-la-ma-ga”, really a gift for the soul. It’s a real pleasure to read and review “Shoostrick” and Sulima is a great artist. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with this edition and I only regret that I bought it only recently, and I haven’t come across it before.

When you take this book in your hands, you don’t want to part with it. This is probably a case where a parent enjoys a book more than a child does. “A-ba-ba-ba-la-ma-ga” is, as always, at its best and delights its readers. First of all, the wonderful illustrations by Ivan Sulima are sympathetic and endearing. They are so vivid, emotional, realistic, cute, and filled with details. The color scheme is fascinating, though there is no mottled, bright colors. It is so impressive! I’d like to say that in this book, the text complements the illustrations, not the other way around, as is usually the case.

The story itself is no less interesting, it is very sweet and touching. The fox family is very friendly and the relationship is warm. The little fox Shustrik decided to please his mother and, after waiting for his mother and brother to fall asleep, went hunting at night. Though the little fox was in trouble, but he found new wonderful friends who helped him.

Undoubtedly, such books should be read to children. It’s a shame we didn’t have such books in our childhood. This is truly a masterpiece of modern children’s literature! Make the children and yourself happy!
