This book, as well as all of Yevhen Klopotenko’s books, has very beautiful illustrations for each dish. In general, all recipes are divided into subsections: meat, vegetables and mushrooms, fish, appetizers, soups and stews, cereals, sweets, pastries, and drinks.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about Ukrainian cooking.

I’ve been looking forward to this book since Yevhen Klopotenko announced it on Instagram. I am very impressed by this chef for his desire to popularize Ukrainian traditions, recipes, food culture and statehood. Moreover, knowing his biography and watching him on the MasterChef project, I would never have thought that Yevhen would start speaking Ukrainian in everyday life and become such a true patriot. In short, I’m ready to give him a plus point for that and campaign for the book. Yes, there are some inaccuracies in the book, but they are quite minor, in my opinion, and at least encourage the reader to look for other recipes for a particular dish. We’ve already cooked carp with fennel and crucian carp in sour cream according to this book. It’s really enchantingly simple and insanely delicious. Some of the dishes are on the menu of Yevhen’s restaurant, so if you are not from Kyiv but want something from Klopotenko’s restaurant, here is a great opportunity to recreate the taste of your favorite dishes. I was especially looking forward to the borscht recipe, but there was only a lean one with ears. However, there is a recipe for plum jam, and it seems that this is exactly what Yevhen used to add to his borscht. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the exact description of the dish on the restaurant menu.

The appearance of the book, of course, gets a high score: excellent paper, design, illustrations. The content of the book – the recipes are written simply, without exotic seasonings and products. But some dishes, such as chebureks, etc., have nothing to do with Ukrainian cuisine. As a gift for young housewives or “beginner” cooks, it’s just right! I recommend it. I have already used several recipes from the book – everything worked!

I wanted an autographed book, unfortunately, I did not have time! I respect the author and watch his culinary work with interest.

I am indifferent to cooking, I bought it as a gift for a person who actually cooks from the book. The layout and design are excellent. I don’t agree with the spitting that there is nothing about Ukrainian cuisine there. I think this is an outsider’s view of Ukrainian cuisine to show how different and unusual it is. Yes, you may not like the recipes, but criticizing for the great work done is so “Ukrainian”. In short, buy it and then decide whether to cook or give it as a gift. The book will find its grateful reader. It was a pleasant surprise to get an autograph. I thank the author and the publisher.
