Our mom is very fond of picking and preserving mushrooms and various berries. So, we made her a very nice present by buying her this very interesting and useful book “Canning Mushrooms and Sauces”. This cookbook was published by the well-known Talent publishing house and belongs to the well-known series of books “Delicious! We recommend!”. It was written in the beautiful Ukrainian language and published in two thousand and seventeen. This original and interesting recipe book was created by the well-known and popular L. Humenna. This edition is quite large in size, contains sixty-four pages of various and original recipes, and is very well and appropriately illustrated with color images that complement the content very well. The composition and required amount of ingredients, cooking method, and useful tips are clearly presented for each recipe. It is also useful, in our opinion, that in some recipes the author suggests possible substitutions of some ingredients for others.
The recipes are accessible and not too difficult to prepare, which is very important today. The author has collected and presented more than fifty diverse, interesting and original recipes, among which we would like to mention the following, which we really liked: “Pepper Salad with Mushrooms, Plum Adjika, Mushroom Caviar with Tomatoes, Mushroom Caviar with Carrots and Onions, Canned Eggplant with Fresh Mushrooms, Apricot Sauce with Vegetables, “Adjika with apples and walnuts, Georgian-style Satsebeli, Red Currant Sauce, Spicy Sweet and Sour Apple Sauce for Meat or Fish, and Borscht Dressing. You will definitely like this book and it will be useful in preparing a variety of healthy dishes!
