    Actually, I bought the entire small series of recipes from Vivat Publishing House in paperback a long time ago, and there were pies in it, too, but this book is an expanded hardcover version.

    I bought the book solely because of the visuals and quality as a gift for my boyfriend’s mother, and she squealed like a pig with delight, praising it, so I took it and bought this book for myself too.

    It’s one of those books that is a pleasure to look through, just like children love to look through encyclopedias, and I love high-quality and colorful design in books.

    The pictures are such that even though you realize that you are unlikely to make such a masterpiece, you still want to cook.

    I liked that the pages were glossy, because I put it on the table while cooking and flipped through it with my fingers greasy.

    The recipes are not complicated, the ingredients are affordable and it is quite possible to cook 75 percent of what is in the book without dying of despair. I liked the recipes for berry and meat pies, tried 10 of them, and will cook more.

    There are a lot of options for cookbooks, but if you are an aesthete, you will definitely like this one.

    I’m a little skeptical about cookbooks because they often contain either exotic ingredients that are not available in our realities or completely bad recipes. I’m glad that this book is an exception.

    Advantages of this book compared to others:

    1) the technology of making different types of dough is written in a short and clear way;

    2) next to each recipe there is a photo of the finished pie and a variant of its design;

    3) all the recipes in the book are sorted by the type of dough they are made of: shortcrust, yeast, puff pastry, biscuits, and other types of dough;

    4) all the pies are popular and well known, and some of them are national dishes of different countries;

    5) good printing and this is not just an advantage, in my opinion, it is its advantage! convenient format (not a huge tolmouth))

    6) the price. It’s not a pity to pay 200 UAH for such a book.

    I have made several pies according to the recipes in this book – I am more than satisfied with the result! It inspired me to make my own baked goods and give up store-bought ones.

    I gave the same book to my friend, who is not yet very good at cooking, and I am sure she will succeed.
