Book 1: The Crown. Book 1: Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill. The Formation of the Young Queen (1947-1955) Robert Lacey, a renowned British historian and biographer, has been writing about Queen Elizabeth II and her extraordinary life for over forty years. So his participation as a consultant in the Netflix series The Crown is quite natural. However, here his voice was more of an advisory one, as the television image of the British monarch was created by screenwriter Peter Morgan, following the laws of the genre. However, the viewer always wants to look behind the scenes, to see what is behind the scenes, and the royal biographer Robert Lacey satisfied this curiosity by writing the novel The Crown: A Story from the Heart of the Action, in which he adds expert assessments and in-depth details to the events of the series, depicting the realities of Buckingham Palace and 10 Davening Street. In general, both authors make us witness a difficult story of how the dreams and hopes of early life are later subordinated only to duty. Elizabeth Mountbatten could never have imagined that her father would die so young, and that she, still very young and inexperienced, would have to ascend the throne to rule the world’s largest empire in a time of great social, cultural, and political change. At the time of her coronation, at the age of 27, she was already a wife and mother, but her rise as queen was just beginning. Book 2. The Queen’s Procession The most popular Netflix series in the history of the platform 62,000,000 people are delighted with the movie The 1950s. Beth Harmon is an ordinary orphan with an extraordinary talent for chess. The game is her only passion. As long as Beth is in the game, she can control herself and… her addiction to tranquilizers and alcohol. The girl desperately wants to become a phenomenal chess player, but at the same time she wants to escape from this reality. A decisive chess match with the world champion, Russian grandmaster Vasily Borgov, is approaching. One wrong combination can ruin the whole game, and a wrong move can break the future. Beth loses control of herself once again. But this time, she will not spare any chess pieces or living people to win. About the author: Walter Tevis is an American novelist whose works have been translated into about 20 languages. Three of his novels have been adapted into movies. But the most popular is The Queen’s Procession, adapted by Netflix in 2020. Book 3: Shadow and Bone. The beginning of the Hrysha trilogy Welcome to Ravka. It was once a great and powerful country. Now it is on the verge of extinction. Ravka is divided by the Shadow Wrinkle: a line of absolute darkness teeming with dangerous monsters. The inconspicuous Alina could never have imagined that saving Ravka would fall on her thin shoulders. Saving her friend Mal, the girl awakened her dormant power. It is she who is able to destroy the Shadow Wrinkle and reunite the war-torn country. Time is running out. Alina is sent to study with the majestic grysha mages, led by the mysterious Darkling. However, the girl’s powerful and untamed power can turn into a serious threat. And not only for the monsters from the shadows, but also for the whole of Ravka, for Mal and Alina herself. Book 4.

If you are a fan of Netflix series and love reading, this set of books will be a great gift for you.

It contains books based on cult Netflix series.

In particular, this is the first part of Andrzej Sapkowski’s series about the adventures of the White Witch, The Last Wish. This book is a collection of short stories about Geralt’s adventures, so if you want to get to know this character in more depth and detail, this book is definitely worth reading.

The second book in the set is The Queen’s Move, which is the basis for the TV series of the same name about the story of the formation of the brilliant chess player Beth Harmon.

The third book is Shadow and Bone, the first part of the cult trilogy of games by Lee Bardugo.

And the last book, The Crown, is the story of the rise of Queen Elizabeth and the first years of her reign.

If you don’t want to “part” with your favorite series, I recommend buying and reading these wonderful books!
