Lenten dishes of Ukrainian cuisine

Synopsys by Lesya Kravetska
Ukrainian traditional cuisine proves that fasting is not about replacing delicious food with a bland, monotonous menu. On the contrary, national lean dishes are a successful combination of variety, taste, and health benefits, as well as ease of preparation. Because fasting is not limited to buckwheat, boiled potatoes, and a glass of water. Ukrainian cuisine connoisseur Lesya Kravetska is ready to break the stereotypes of the Lenten menu in a delicious way.- Fish soup with fish and fresh mushrooms- Potatoes baked under a garlic crust- Winter salad with beans and sauerkraut- Bagels with applesBe sure to cook your family Volyn cabbage, grated potato and buckwheat stuffed cabbage or shredded cabbage. Treat them to a delicious pie with garlic arrows or buckwheat in pumpkin sauce, beans with zucchini or pickles with flax. And dried fruit doughnuts, nuts claws, or apple dragonfly will be a real decoration of your table.

Are you tired of fasting, and in particular of monotonous and bland food? Lesia Kravetska’s book Lenten Dishes of Ukrainian Cuisine will make you realize that even lean dishes can be very tasty and nutritious if prepared with the soul and according to traditional Ukrainian recipes.

I am sure that this collection will be appreciated not only by fasting believers, but also by all good cooks. For example, I have already tasted an incredibly delicious pate made from fresh wild mushrooms, onions, walnuts, white bread, garlic, ground black pepper, and mushroom broth… But in the near future I will definitely try the spread made of red beans, walnuts, oil, garlic, sauerkraut juice, salt, and parsley.

The publication is of high quality and bright. The book is in an integral binding, with chalked pages and color illustrations. Moreover, it costs only one hundred and fifty hryvnias. So, to summarize, I can only recommend this useful publication to those who love to cook and to those who want to make a nice gift to another person who is fond of cooking.
