The cookbook “Home Cooking. How to cook and bake” is a wonderful, authentic collection of recipes of Ukrainian cuisine originally from Lviv, so if you like to cook, you want to learn as many recipes as possible for traditional Ukrainian cuisine, you want to surprise your family and friends with new interesting and original dishes, then I advise you to pay attention to the book “Home Cooking. How to Cook and Bake”, which will certainly help you with this.
The author of the collection Leontina Luchakivska managed to collect on the pages of her book “Home cooking. How to Cook and Bake” contains delicious recipes for homemade dishes, such as: ostupa, brine, pates, meat sauces, salads, interesting breakfast recipes, and she has not forgotten about baking, with recipes for honey cakes, pastries, cakes, and much more. In addition to the recipes presented, I really liked the design of this book, which was created by a well-known Ukrainian graphic artist Ihor Bilykivsky, who managed to convey the true spirit of Lviv, the atmosphere of home comfort and warmth in the cookbook. I would also like to note that the first edition of the book “Home Cooking. How to Cook and Bake” was published back in 1910, so you can find authentic words in it that are unusual for us. The quality of the book is high, the cover is hard, and you want to read and look at it.
The book “Home Cooking. How to Cook and Bake” turned out to be extremely beautiful, and it will be a very good gift for all lovers of cooking.

Do you want to feel the spirit of Lviv and add unique flavors of traditional Ukrainian dishes to your menu? Then you will definitely find Leontina Luchakivska’s collection Home Cooking. How to cook and bake”, which contains delicious recipes for rosols and zupas (in modern times, the word zupa is translated as soup), sosas (i.e. sauces) for meat, pates, yaryna (i.e. vegetable ingredients), compotes, salads, breakfast snacks, cookies, glazes, ice cream, coffee, tea, and other hot drinks for every taste. You’ll be amazed to learn how many delicious dishes there are that you’ve never tasted before. Take me, for example: I don’t eat meat or fish, and therefore I always cook only lean borscht, but until I read Ms. Leontina’s book, it never occurred to me that you can add dried mushrooms wrapped in squares of dough to borscht, and it turns out to be so delicious that after you try it, you won’t want to cook any other lean borscht…
Special attention should be paid to the excellent quality of the publication. The book is hardcover, with offset pages, and contains black and white illustrations. This collection was first published in 1910, so it is written in a language a bit unusual for a modern reader, but, in my opinion, this is even good, because in this way the reader has a chance to get acquainted with the linguistic features and dialects of our ancestors…
