I am very glad that I decided to finish this book.
It was a fresh look at it, and I had a great time.
Unlike the first book, there are a lot of moments that make you laugh out loud.
Just look at Goldilocks the Curls!
The plot is quite simple and well-known.
Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts with difficulty. He is overtaken by troubles and mysteries.
And he has to meet the enemy.
I liked this part more because of the humorous scenes.
And new locations.
Space for imagination! I wanted to draw my own illustrations for this book.
The book is wonderful and, of course, my favorite.
This book will always hold a special place in my heart.

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the series about the adventures of Harry and his friends at Hogwarts.
From the very beginning, Harry is unlucky: there are bars on the windows, the owl is locked, and it seems to him that everyone has forgotten about him. His only wish is to return to the magical school, and this is the only thing that makes him happy.
If the first part was such a cozy fairy tale, the second part is creepy and more dynamic. The plot here is gaining momentum and doesn’t let go until the end, so you want to find out how it all ends and whether it’s successful.
I liked the line with the basilisk the most, it was so cool. And the characters are already beginning to change, although it is barely noticeable, becoming more courageous and breaking away from new sides.
Some of the moments in the book made me shudder because they were really a little creepy. There are also new characters, such as Dobby (a cute one) or Professor Locks.
I really liked this part, I can even say that I liked it more than the first one.

The second part of the sequel to the Harry Potter story is often considered to be as good as the first. The translation is adequate is extremely important. The first book I read in Ukrainian was a little strange (because the movies I watched all in Russian), but this book I got hooked and want to read all the books in Ukrainian.
The second book begins with the introduction of the charming Dobby, who truly is one of my favorite characters in the Potteriana on a level with Luna. Harry is rescued by the Weasley brothers in a flying car and together they stay with their family for the summer. The weirdness begins when Ron and Harry don’t get on the train, and next up is the flying car, Rattlesnake Willow, and Gilderoy Lockhart. Harry begins to hear strange voices that threaten to kill someone, soon Mrs. Noris is paralyzed. That’s when the holy trinity begins to investigate. They find out about the secret room and the heir to the slither. And soon everyone believes that Harry is involved in all the attacks on the students and the cat, because he knows how to talk to snakes.
There is a very important focus on human choice in this book, and that’s where Dumboldor says my second favorite quote from Harry Potter: “A man is not defined by the qualities inherent in him, but only by his choices.” The beautiful moral is like a red thread running through the entire plot.
You learn why Filch is so evil all the time. You learn who Percy Weasley’s girlfriend was. Who are the students who were paralyzed by the serpent Basilisk. Why Lucius Malfoy put Riddle’s diary in Ginny’s cauldron. How Hegrid became a matchmaker. And many more things that are missed in the movies.
The book is beautiful, as are the other parts of it. Worth reading for everyone in due time, I recommend it without a doubt especially for those Harry Potter fans who put off reading the books because they thought everything was already shown in the movies (believe me you are wrong).

“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” is the second part of the adventures of Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione by British writer J.K. Rowling.
In this installment, Harry returns to Hogwarts to study, but new dangerous heads immediately start to roll: a mysterious creature roams the school of magic, hunting students and leaving anyone unlucky enough to meet it paralyzed, a new strange teacher of defense against the dark arts appears, and much more, but no less interesting! Will our friends be able to save Hogwarts from the terrible Basilisk and understand how exactly he ended up on the school grounds without falling under his terrible spell?
In this part, the plot tension increases significantly, as do our characters. Joan again allows us to plunge into the world of magic and witchcraft, friendship, childhood, and endless adventures. New witty characters appear, such as Myrtle and Lockart, and new details about Harry’s worst enemy, Lord Voldemort, are revealed. As always, the story of the Boy Who Lived is fascinating and surprising, allowing you to plunge into childhood. The book is no worse than the film adaptation, on the contrary, there are many interesting things in this part that the movie cannot fit due to the limited running time.

Coincidentally, I’ll be spending the New Year in the company of young wizards from Hogwarts, as I plan to continue to get acquainted with the Harry Potter series. Well, two parts are over and I want to say that the time spent on them was not in vain. I like the translation by the publishing house, because Viktor Morozov was able to adapt the original text by R.K. Rowling to the Ukrainian reader. For example, in the book, Hagrid has a specific dialect, which is conveyed in our country by the Galician dialect. Malfoy’s slang was also not ignored, and all these words like “karochie, Potter” and so on were quite funny.
But I was praising the publisher and the translator, and I have a lot of comments about the book. You know, I don’t want to offend Potter fans, but, people, this book is just full of gaffes. I’m going to give you some spoilers, but it’s okay, because I think everyone knows the plot. So, what was the point of bringing Locart along if he was useless? Why didn’t they just go straight to McGonagall? You know, it was purely “the author needs it” to get rid of an unnecessary character.
And Tom Riddle?
“Oh, how could I forget that phoenix tears heal?” Seriously? And this is how the most evil wizard, Lord Voldemort, behaves? Even if he is 16 years old.
Another question. Why in 50 years has NOBODY ever asked Weeping Myrtle how she died? Everyone would have immediately realized that she had been killed by a Parseltongue dude, and all accusations against Hagrid would have been dropped. I mean, really! A student died within the walls of Hogwarts!!! Am I the only one who’s worried about this?
Ugh, as Malfoy would say, there are too many illogicalities for 350 pages of text. Still, if I decided to read the series further, it means that there is something in it. It’s a fairly light book with great jokes, which is perfect for these winter evenings.
