One of the most interesting Agatha Christie stories I’ve ever read! Of course, they’re all interesting, but this one grabbed me so much that I devoured it in three days (although I don’t like to do that with books – I stretch my enjoyment). And in general, I usually like to sit and think: who is the villain? And is there only one? Well, this time I figured it out only halfway as to the killer and a third as to the method of murder))
The characters, as always, are incredibly interesting, and not like those from other books. And the plot is great! The different ways people look at the same situation are often surprising. Everyone has different versions and different attitudes towards others.
I like that there are several sheets in the middle for the movie adaptation. It’s a nice detail. When I saw the black line on the side, I thought it was dirt or a typo))

“Death on the Nile is one of the most popular detective stories by the writer, and, in my opinion, quite deservedly so.
All the characters are well written, and everyone has their own skeletons in the closet. Sometimes it seemed to me that I could not expect anything from a character, but they surprised me with their unexpected actions. At first, all the characters were mixed and it was hard to figure out who was who, but then all the information was laid out on the shelves. The author leads the reader down a deceptive path from the very first pages, and although the reader sometimes knows more than the detective, this does not make the book trite.
In general, this book is a well-written detective story with an interesting plot and well-developed characters.

An unreal detective story, all in the style of Agatha Christie.
In fact, I decided to read this particular book, as there will be a movie premiere in early February, which I am already looking forward to)
So, in terms of style and plot, it is very similar to Murder on the Orient Express.
The sophisticated, experienced Hercule Poirot and everyone on the ship – everyone – may be involved in a murder, and perhaps more than one.
Intrigue, excitement, unexpected plots and an unexpected ending.
I really like Christie’s writing. Sometimes it’s harsh, sometimes it’s very sophisticated. But the plot always captivates, intrigues and keeps you in unrealistic curiosity and suspense until the last pages.
The line of love is very clearly visible. Sometimes it becomes very sad because of the cruelty, and sometimes you feel very worried and feel all the anxiety and tension of each character, especially the main ones.
As I wrote above, the ending is unexpected and sad for me, I don’t want to spoil it, even though this is a review, a review of what I’ve read. But I want you not to know how the detective story ends and to experience these emotions for yourself.
You can read the novel in one day, as the book is small and very exciting.
Definitely recommended for reading.

Another great story from an incredible writer! First of all, it is worth praising the reissue, because the very appearance of the book brings aesthetic pleasure, and this copy will really fit well into your book collection.
As for the plot itself, it’s Agatha Christie, friends! It can’t be boring and it’s definitely not easy. No, this is not a light detective story, this is a real intrigue in which you are directly involved. Until the end of the book, you are left with a feeling of unspoken words, mystery, and distrust of each suspect.
However, in all this cruel and terrifying situation, we are introduced to a completely new Poirot. A romantic Poirot. The way he accepts Jacqueline and Simon’s love story, the way he talks about love and sympathy in general – he is a true gentleman. This makes him closer to the reader, because we also empathize. In addition, the love storyline entwines not only the main characters…
What is the main idea of the novel? Everyone interprets it in their own way: envy, gluttony, rich pretentiousness versus poor sincerity, or vice versa. Did Lynette want simple love, or did she just want to get her inheritance as quickly as possible? Was Simon really so worthless and pitiful that he neglected Jacqueline’s loyalty and was seduced by her friend’s wealth? And what does this have to do with people who hate the Doyle family so much?
Our detective has already answered these questions: “We got it all wrong”.
