I don’t know if it’s right to call it a rom-com, because I had these expectations for it, and they were not high in fact. But, nevertheless, this book surpassed them, because it turned out to be light, interesting, and meaningful.
At first, I couldn’t understand how two strangers ended up in the same apartment, but it was very interesting to watch their relationship develop. The warm side stories were a nice bonus to the main storyline.
The main characters themselves – I liked that they were not standard, but interesting and special in their own way.
Also, this book touches on the topic of gaslighting, and this psychological process itself can be seen in some detail, which is a good bonus for people who would like to learn more about toxic relationships.

A witty novel that did not let go until the last page. Rewriting with sticky notes is now associated only with this book. The book’s protagonist, Tiffy, who is looking for a place to live, comes across an ad for an apartment for two, which is a perfect fit for her. The protagonist is impossibly likable by nature. As for Leon, he’s a cool guy, with his own eccentricities, work, and life.
If someone had written to me that this novel would be so light, I would have laughed at this thesis, but it is light, romantic, and witty. The book contains not only jokes, but also important topics, such as attached and abusive relationships. If you look at the book from the point of view of a psychologist, there are important themes here, the book is banal, but every book has important themes, don’t forget about it.
The book is great, thanks to Yakaboo for recommending great books 🙂

It is clear that this is about an apartment shared by a woman and a man, and it is clear how it will end, right?
So, I’m thinking, what could be in more than 300 pages? And I don’t like reading banal love stories, so I decided to read this book, right?
And so, the story turned out to be light and pleasant, not at all banal.
A man and a woman rent an apartment, sharing it at different times of the day. They are not supposed to meet at all, and have never seen each other. But they start a friendly neighborly correspondence, sweet gestures, such as a cooked dinner or baked goods. And it is very interesting how they will cross paths.
There is not only a romantic component here. The woman’s relationship with her ex takes up a large part of the story, which is abusive and exhausting, and the woman still has to figure it out, realize it, and live through it.
The man next door works as a nurse in a hospice, has a girlfriend and a brother in prison.
The book touches on the issues of lost opportunities and what is important at the end of life, the theme of family and family, the innocence of a person who is imprisoned, and how badly or well circumstances can turn out.
I liked the book very much, it made for a pleasant read. I read some parts of it and was smiling from ear to ear, it was so sweet.

The story is sweet, but not too sweet. The author also touches on very serious topics, which sometimes make it not sweet, but very, very painful in the heart and soul. The main character, Tiffy, suffered a lot in her past relationships and now, despite the difficulties with money, she has to share an apartment and even a bed with a stranger, Leon. He works at night and sleeps during the day, while the girl does the opposite, so they are a perfect match in terms of renting an apartment. Their friendship begins with ordinary notes on the fridge and table. And then what? And is it possible for these two to be “not friends” after difficult events in their lives? Witty, sweet and very interesting!
