The book is just incredible. If you need motivation, peace of mind, advice, you should definitely read it.

After reading this book, you will really want to live and realize how beautiful life is, that everything depends only on you and all bad emotions are only in your head. The book is suitable for any category: teenagers, adults.

After reading this book, I am sure that I want to add all the books of this writer to my collection.

The book is very light and easy to read, I would say a kind of motivation. You want to read it and read it, re-read it, and if you read it in nature, it’s a real thrill.

There is a peculiarity in Laurent Gounel’s books (at least, that’s how I perceive it). When you read several in a row, you get saturated with his philosophy, and it becomes uninteresting to read anymore, because they are actually all about the same thing, just with different variations of storylines and main characters. But when you take a short break from reading the author’s books (at least for a few weeks), your interest in new “positive” stories is renewed, and you perceive his commonplace truths again, as if for the first time… and every line captures your attention, and the story itself inspires reflection and encourages you to ask yourself “uncomfortable” questions.

In this book, the author focuses on the subjective perception of reality (in fact, we see the world this way, not that way, through the prism of our own beliefs, mostly formed in childhood), on the choice that is present in our lives every second (because only we choose whether to go to this job, or meet these people, or adjust to the circumstances, or perhaps try to finally adjust them to ourselves) and the happiness that can only be achieved by realizing that you are still able to change your life if you know exactly what you want and consciously follow your dreams.

“Who would you be if everything was possible?” – This was the question asked by the Balinese healer Samtian to Julian, an ordinary teacher from the Western world who came to Bali on vacation. After hearing about a man like Samtyan, Julian decided that he could not leave the island without visiting him. He was just curious and didn’t expect anything more.

But when he met the Balinese healer, Julian realized that this would not be their only meeting. At the very first “examination”, Dr. Samtian made a “diagnosis” – UNHAPPY.

During all their subsequent meetings, Samtian would help Julian understand what makes a person happy and give him tasks that would help Julian understand what happiness is and how to discover it.

The book contains a lot of interesting research that is not known to the general public, but is extremely valuable. A very interesting book, like Laurent Gounel’s previous books. It encourages you to think about yourself, your life, and your vision of the world. A great book that I recommend to everyone!!!

Compared to the book God Always Travels Incognito, I found the book a bit boring and “weak” in content.

It’s definitely not 5 out of 5, unfortunately. But a solid 4 for sure. Light, calm, instructive. From the first pages, it reminded me of the book “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. Bali, beautiful nature, self-discovery, a wise healer (for whom money is a means of subsistence, not a component of happiness)… In fact, I was more interested in the couple who lived next door to Julian. Their relationship and lifestyle were more interesting to me, but I was upset that the author “flew over” their lives. Such an easy parallel – happiness is a different concept for everyone. In fact, we all understand how to change our lives, but it is important for us to have someone else confirm our theory. The question is whether people who have understood the “meaning” will follow the rules of …. and whether they will stop being happy when they are saturated with harmony? The book is very small, the font is large. I read it in 2 evenings. Was it worth it? It was, because every book is a story that settles in your heart, soul, and memory.

Like the two previous books by this author, I really like this part, though if we compare, the best one is probably “God Always Travels Incognito.” The only thing I can say is this: don’t look for excuses for why you are standing still, and you will be happy. Don’t listen to the opinions of others, even sometimes your family, about whether you are doing something right or wrong, because it is YOUR life. And don’t be afraid to make a choice between the useful and the usual, even if it causes some material losses, because you can get something more in return – peace of mind.

In general, this story is even shorter, which is probably why there is no inner attraction to it. There is nothing like what was in the first parts. However, I’m not one of those people who criticize someone’s writing, because the person who has managed to get the work to our readers from abroad is already a reason for respect.
