I read the book when I was 15 years old. It was the first book I ever read on this topic. I prefer fantasy.

The book contains tips like: set priorities; about habits and so on. There is a lot of stuff that I already knew and understood well. That’s why this book is not suitable for already confident and self-aware teenagers.

The book has an interesting design and content. There are a variety of cool cartoons, sketches, and stories of real children. These stories were interesting. There are diagrams of how to develop.

I can recommend it to those children and teenagers who are completely insecure and stiff. It will give them confidence.

I have not yet finished the book “Seven Skills of Highly Effective People. The version about highly effective teenagers was forced to read by my profession. The author is the son of the very business consultant who is so respected decades later and whose opinion is considered important and useful. As they say, the apple of the tree) Son, Sean Covey, asserts the importance of personality and promotes the approach of leadership, not defeatism in everyone’s life. Several chapters of the book are arranged according to this very logic: develop habits, conquer failures, don’t give up, evaluate and try again. Plan, be flexible, analyze what happened, don’t dwell on it. Start with yourself, and over time, learning to manage yourself, to cope with circumstances will be well within your power. Once you learn to get along and be honest with yourself, interacting with those around you will also become easier and more enjoyable. To be honest, while reading, I mentally went back to my childhood and adolescence and noticed the gaps. Something came to something with age, something is still not set up as it should be. It’s a pity that 15 years ago such a book was not at hand …

The questions that so annoy many people at job interviews, akin to “What do you see yourself as in 10 years?” are found in the pages of the book. I’m sure it won’t be easy for teenagers to answer some of them, but it’s a rewarding exercise to learn to understand what and why. The examples told by the author are easy and clear, organic to the text.

The Ukrainian edition itself is quality in every sense: thick white paper, different fonts, indentation breakdowns, some black and white illustrations, and all very appropriate. Read it for yourself, and may smart, sensible parents have smart, sensible children.

I am 16. I bought this book for my younger brother because of that famous sentence at the beginning: “Many teenagers read books, but I was not one of them…”. This is probably the first book he has read in its entirety: from beginning to end! And 2 weeks ago I found “7 Habits…” on a shelf and decided that it was worth reading)

You know, the book surprised me extremely well. Although, it would be better to say that it gave me much more than I initially expected! I’ve been reading it step by step these past two weeks. At first, Sean Covey introduced me to a proactive attitude and a responsible attitude towards myself and my principles. Then I had to think a bit about my own paradigms, mission, and goals. The next step was teamwork. I learned how to listen to others and look for the best, win-win alternative to any problem. I started to understand myself better. In the end, the author talked about recovery and how to take care of your body, mind, heart, and soul.

“7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” laid out my doubts, fears, desires, and emotions on the shelves. This is not a book that you can just read. No, it’s not. Here, theory is constantly reinforced by practice! After each chapter, there are even small tasks that help you start changing yourself NOW. The format of the book is simply amazing! It is full of pictures, quotes, teenage stories, examples from the author’s life, and jokes. There are also several quests with unusual questions, so you won’t be bored!

If you’re a teenager, you should definitely take the time to read this book. It will be a great investment in your future!

If not, I don’t know. But I think adults will love the book too)))

“7 skills of high-performance kids” is a magical and very useful book. Not only for teenagers, but also for adults. It helps define the goals, reveals the methods of achieving them. Sean Covey gives sensible advice, teaches wisdom. Explains that all their dreams and goals – achievable, they are very close, somewhere near the obsessive teenage insecurity. At the same time, he teaches self-esteem by channeling the “wild energy of a teenager” in the right direction.

The book reads in the same breath, interesting stories in the middle of chapters give you a chance to see how this or that habit changes the future and affects life. I guess if I had a book like this in my formative years – I would be a different person – I would respect myself a lot more – that’s for sure. It’s like a guidebook for teenagers. And if you listen to yourself and the author’s advice – you can really move mountains.

As for me, I am crazy glad I got this book. For personal reasons. The thing is that when I was a kid, no one was really involved in my… “mentoring”, so I drew all my knowledge about morality and how to act and what to avoid on my own, mostly from classic literature. At a certain point, all of these indirect moral teachings bored me, so my system of values remained unformed. Fortunately, I found this book. It filled the gap.

I think this book is the best textbook for becoming a person and achieving success. Definitely, it will help me navigate through life, and also reminds me of the most important things. Now I got my little sister hooked on it. I hope the results will be good.

A few words about the quality of the book. The book is hardcover with a stylish skater on the cover. It has a youthful look to it. The paper inside is white and the font is perfectly readable. As for the language, I don’t like reading in Ukrainian. But, this time it was so harmonious that I think I’m already hooked on “kalynova” too. Honor and glory to the Lviv publishing house.

As an adult, I discovered the “7 Habits…” by Stephen Covey. Some things struck me with their simplicity, as well as their effectiveness and obviousness, which for some reason was hidden from consciousness. So when I saw the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey, I bought it without hesitation and “for my growth,” hoping that one day my son would read it. Of course, I read it myself, although the material was already familiar. What did I particularly like? The fact that there is no boring adult moralizing here, the author’s position is not mentoring, not superior, but friendly and relaxed. “Yes,” he says, “I realize that this may seem stupid to you, but if you look at it from this angle, then…” Sean Covey does not rely on what seems important to us, adults, but on what teenagers live by, using motivation that is effective for them but incomprehensible to adults. The book contains a lot of examples from the lives of teenagers, the presentation is completely devoid of academicism, but is full of vocabulary familiar to teenagers, witty comic drawings. What I found most useful is that at the end of each habit chapter there are “Baby Steps” – simple tips and tasks that will help you implement what the author suggests. It is interesting that the author shares what it is like to be the son of the famous Stephen Covey, how he behaved as a teenager when his father tried to instill the famous 7 habits in him.

What seemed a bit heavy was the dense typing, and intuitively I would have liked a slightly larger font and line spacing, but this would have increased the volume, and it’s not really the main thing and in no way detracts from the book.

Now it seems to me that if someone had told me all this when I was a teenager, especially what proactivity and result-orientation are, it would have made my life easier in many ways. So I hope that this book will change the lives of more than one teenager, because it definitely has great potential.
