36 and 6 Companion Cats is Halyna Vdovychenko’s third book about 36 and 6 cats. It was presented at this year’s Book Arsenal and took first place among the books of the Old Lion Publishing House. The fourth place went to the first part of 36 and 6 Cats.

The third part begins with the cats and dogs living in a house divided in half, and the kittens start smoking, and because of this nonsense they decide to direct their energy in a different direction.

That’s why they follow an ad to a house where elderly people need companions.

There, they meet another character, Mrs. Viola Volska, who used to be an actress and dreamed of playing in a play about Snow White.

The cats help her with this, and also clean up the yard, which was completely neglected.

Mr. Pepe tries to turn the cats into football players because they are so good with a tin can.

Despite the absence of the third part, it is no less fascinating. It’s like the Harry Potter stories that have become classics.

I already know that our next book will be “Koto-hutka” – a prehistory about 6 kittens!

I am wary of sequels. It seems that the second story about the 42 seals is the end of the story. That’s why I’m afraid of a plot that’s been sucked out of my finger. In the first pages, I thought so. And then I realized I was wrong.

If you haven’t read the previous stories “36 and 6 Cats” and “36 and 6 Detective Cats”, then start with them. It is there that you get to know the cats, hear the stories of their names, habits, etc.

My 9-year-old son is a cat person, we buy everything about cats. He likes G. Vdovychenko’s books very much, he already has his own favorites, idols among cats.

What I liked about this work is that it combines the kindness of cats and old people who also need our attention and care. Their lives seem to be on the decline. Often they are in poor health, or even disabled. But they miss their younger years, their pleasures, and still want to be useful in this world.

That’s why they came up with the idea to form a theater group to stage a play and assemble a football team. And who the participants are, guess what, of course, our furry friends.

This is the third book about 36 and 6 cats by Halyna Vdovychenko with wonderful colorful illustrations by Natalka Haida. The story begins with our cats happily living in a special house with their dog neighbors. But one day, at a general cat and dog meeting, it turns out that some of the four-legged friends have too much free time, so they start doing something stupid out of idleness. The society thinks about where to direct this excess energy and eventually comes up with the idea to volunteer at the Pogodna Osen retirement home, where the elderly often lack company for walks or board games. There, the cats meet Viola Volska (VeVe), a retired actress, and Pavlo Pavlovych (PePe), a former football player. These two elderly but energetic people organize the animals into two clubs: a football club and a theater club.

The book is not bad, but, like the previous volumes in the series, it has problems. The biggest one, in my opinion, is that there are too many cats. It is impossible to describe the characters of 42 characters in 150 pages, and this is not counting dogs and human beings. That’s why, for example, the dahlia cats, of which there are eight, act as one character.

The book is very useful, interesting, fun, and exciting! It tells the story of the incredible adventures of 36 adults and 6 small cats.

Our acquaintance with the cat story began with the book “36 and 6 Cats”, then we read the sequel “36 and 6 Detectives” with our children, and now we are waiting for “36 and 6 Companions”!

My daughter is 8 years old and my son is 6. They are both very interested in stories about cats and their adventures. The book has interesting language, good dialogues, nice pages, and beautiful drawings. We give books about cats to our friends and children to read.

Cat stories help children develop their imagination and thinking, and they try to guess the course of events in advance. For example, my kids have their own favorites among all the cats, we discuss the cat characters after reading each next chapter, and now our pets – cats and dogs – are called by cat names in the book)))

I recommend that all parents buy this useful, kind, educational book for their children. Even I was reading and waiting for each next page. It is very, very interesting!

We have!!!

So, of course, we bought the new book and enjoyed the adventures of 36 and 6 cats to the fullest.

And it all started in a way that is commonplace and understandable for many parents: the smallest members of the tailed and eared company were accused of… smoking. Unlike many human parents, the cats were not in a hurry to blame the little pranksters, but quite logically concluded that the kids have a lot of free time, so they are looking for adventures to chase their tails. The solution was simple: we needed to keep the 6 cats busy as much as possible.

We found something to do. The kids decided to become companions of the elderly. And so it was done!

Read how it all ended and what came of it) It’s really interesting. Although the plot was predictable for me, I enjoyed reading it as much as my son.

What surprised me about the book? With its hidden dilemmas. Somehow, the first two books either didn’t have this, or I was in a different mood. What dilemmas? The coexistence of cats and dogs. They seem to be enemies, but it seems that they are only in our heads. Is the family life of an actress and a football player a mirage or a reality? Is the ability to be a cool specialist in areas that are completely different an exception or a pattern?
